“WELCOME Mack,” said Mack’s 14-inch laptop screen as soon as he logged on to his home page. The clock struck midnight.
While the page was opening, Mack thought about how his life had changed in just four days. In half an hour, he should be a millionaire. This was not even in his wildest dream a few days ago.
Last Monday, when he received a mail inviting him to join www.assignmillion.com and become millionaire in five days, he was astonished. However, he joined and promptly learnt about his assignments. One had to kill a dishonest person every midnight through procedures prescribed on the site. After every successful night one earned $250,000, which was deposited to a Swiss bank account. When he accepted the proposal, the first assignment came.
Assignment No. 01
Target: Sharon Parker, criminal lawyer
Accused of: Sending many innocents to the gallows.
When Mack found Sharon, she was working on her PC. He pulled the trigger of his virtual pistol and saw her toppling over. “Good job Mack. Your Swiss bank account has been opened. Good luck for tomorrow,” flashed his screen. On Tuesday, Mack killed Sayed Kasov, an oil mill owner, and pocketed $250,000. After two other assignments on Wednesday and Thursday, Mack simply loved the lavish amount he had garnered.
However, withdrawing his amount was prohibited under Assignmillion.com’s rules the whole mission was over. Mack eagerly waited for midnight. When he clicked on New Assignment for the last target, he couldn’t believe his eyes.
